Our Faith Foundations

1.  There is only one living and true God (YHWH-YAHWEH). He is infinite in wisdom, holiness, justice, power and love.  He is one in essence, substance, nature and purpose; while being three distinct persons.  This is commonly referred to as the Trinity.

2.  The Books of the Old Testament and the New Testament, in their original collective autographs, are the verbally inspired and infallible Words of God to Mankind. They are fully reliable when followed in all matters relating of Faith and Doctrine in our daily lives. The Bible is the only infallible source of God’s revelation to man. It reflects God’s true Heart, Mind and Desire for our lives. It is the Foundational Truth of our Faith in Him.

3.  God sovereignly created the world out of nothing, so that creation, while wholly dependent upon Him, does not comprise any part of Him. While He is present throughout the universe, He remains separate from Creation.

4.  God created Mankind, Male and Female, in His own image in an original state of purity and righteousness.  Mankind fell from this state by an act of their voluntary rebellion.  As a consequence, Mankind and all Creation became subject to sin and death. Man’s nature became inherently corrupt and subject to divine wrath.  The unregenerate became and are totally depraved, enemies of God and do not possess a will free from the dominion of the sin nature.

5.  Jesus Christ is the eternal (always existing) Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit in regards to His Human Nature (God-Man), being born of the virgin Mary. He alone fulfilled all the demands of the Law by His sinless life having been crucified on the cross under Pontius Pilate. His blood poured out as a substitutionary atonement for our personal sin which satisfied the Father’s need for Divine Justice. Christ was then raised to life on the third day in the same body, now glorified.  He ascended into heaven and now, seated at the right hand of God the Father, as He intercedes in heaven for His Redeemed.

6.  The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and Son and regenerates, sanctifies, comforts, and guides the child of God.  Through His indwelling presence, we are reunited into an intimate relationship with God for our Spiritual transformation, so that we can reflect Him through our daily lives. We are empowered as individual ambassadors within the Body of Christ to fulfill His Great Commission to reach everyone in our “world” for Christ..  He convicts the world of its sin, rebellion and judgment against God.  The Holy Spirit’s indwelling of all true Christ Followers are indispensable to the Holy Spirit-led functioning of the Body of Christ. By the Holy Spirit we are a “priesthood” of all believers to fulfill God’s Kingdom role in our World.

7.  Our Salvation entails the remission of our sin, the imputation of the righteousness of Jesus Christ upon our lives, and the gift of a resurrected eternal life with the blessings and responsibilities that flow concurrently from these three.  We are saved by Grace, the free gift of God, which is received by faith alone, apart from any human works of merit.  While salvation is by Grace, this does not relieve men of their responsibility to repent, believe, trust and live in humble submission to God. Our hearts’ motives are the key to our intimacy with God.

8.  Upon repentance to God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the believer should publicly proclaim his/her identity with Christ by immersion in water baptism, in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. This baptism depicts our cleansing purification, the death and defeat of our sinful nature that has been held captive by Satan, and our victorious resurrection to “walk forward in the Spiritual newness of our lives in Christ.

9.  The Lord Jesus Christ baptizes Regenerated Believers in the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is God’s seal upon the heart and life of the regenerated believer. This Indwelling baptism empowers the believer to serve the Lord and provides the believer with gifts to serve the Body of Christ.

The Holy Spirit’s indwelling of all true Christ Followers is indispensable to the Spirit-led functioning of the Body of Christ. By the Holy Spirit we are a “priesthood” of all believers to fulfill God’s Kingdom role in our World.

10.  The Holy Spirit transforms lives today in such a way that believers reflect the fruit and character of the Mind and Heart of God, to be His ambassadors in our world today. The manifestations of the various gifts of the Spirit are used to edify the Body of Christ.  We believe that all the gifts of the Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Romans 12:6-8, and Ephesians 4:11 continue to operate in the Church today as they are confirmed in God’s Word. We also believe that the “evidences” of the Holy Spirit are always conformed to Mind and Heart of God in His Word, The Bible.

11. The Lord’s Supper (Communion) should be offered to all believers except those who willfully choose to walk unfaithfully before God in sin.  The elements of communion are symbols of Christ’s body and blood shed for our redemption. The Lord’s Supper is a sobering and useful celebration for building up the faith of believers in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Through our celebration Christ’s Death, Burial, and Resurrection, we continue to remember all that God has provided for our Salvation, our Consecration to walk Holy unto Him, and our Resurrection Victory in Christ!

12.  The Lord Jesus Christ will return bodily, visibly, and personally to draw all true believers that reflect His image to Himself, to consummate His Kingdom. He will judge both the living and the dead and will separate both the redeemed and lost, assigning unbelievers to eternal punishment and believers to eternal glory.
